Pune, (Maharashtra) [India], September 22, 2026: In a significant step towards providing its students with enhanced global exposure, international learning opportunities, research avenues, academic mobility and cross-cultural experiences, Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU), Pimpri, through its Office of International Affairs (OIA), has undertaken several important initiatives and international collaborations.
These initiatives are aimed at ensuring that DPGU students and faculty members gain access to global universities, international experts, scholarships, exchange programmes and opportunities for academic and professional growth.

Building Global Opportunities through Diplomatic Engagement
On 23rd July 2026, DPGU was represented by Dr. D. G. Bhalke, Director, School of Technology & Research and Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology, along with Dr. Payal P. Tayade, Head – Office of International Affairs, at the Diplomatic Roundtable on Global Education Partnerships organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University, Mumbai.
The participation enabled DPGU to initiate discussions regarding potential academic collaborations and international opportunities with representatives associated with the Consulate General of Ireland, Consulate General of Canada, British Consulate and Consulate General of Japan. The discussions are progressing positively, with the larger objective of creating future opportunities for student mobility, academic collaboration and global engagement.
Connecting DPGU Students with Leading Australian Universities
With the objective of opening international pathways for DPGU students, Dr. Payal P. Tayade represented DPGU at a networking evening held on 17th August 2026 at The Westin Pune.
During the event, DPGU’s academic legacy, industry-integrated approach and vision for global collaboration were presented to representatives from several prominent Australian universities and institutions, including the University of Adelaide, Australian Catholic University, Ikon Institute of Australia, James Cook University, La Trobe University, Melbourne Institute of Technology, Murdoch University, Queensland University of Technology, RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, The University of Queensland, The University of Sydney, University of Canberra, University of New South Wales, University of Technology Sydney, The University of Western Australia and Western Sydney University, along with representatives from the Government of South Australia and Government of Western Australia.
These interactions are expected to create valuable possibilities for future academic partnerships, student mobility, higher education pathways and global exposure for DPGU students.
DPGU Global Lecture Series: Bringing International Expertise to Campus
To ensure that students and faculty members benefit directly from international academic expertise, the Office of International Affairs has launched the “DPGU Global Lecture Series” across all Schools of the University.
Under this initiative, several enriching sessions have already been conducted, including:
- Pearson Career Readiness Programme by Ms. HimaniSanwal, benefiting students across various Schools of DPGU.
- A session by Dr. Gagan Kumar B.R. from Deakin University on “Explainable AI and Responsible Analytics in Modern Organizations” for the School of Management & Research on 21st August 2026.
- A session by Dr. Ram Krishna Mishra from Deakin University on “From Data to Decisions: Identifying Optimal Machine Learning Models for Multi-Domain Applications” for the School of Technology & Research on 25th August 2026.
- A highly informative session by Mr. Subhash Pol from Scholario on Fully Funded Swiss Government Scholarships for faculty members and PG students of the School of Technology & Research and School of Pharmacy & Research on 31st August 2026.
Through such initiatives, DPGU students and faculty members are gaining direct access to international knowledge, career readiness skills, research opportunities and global scholarship information.
University of Melbourne Delegation Visits DPGU
Adding another significant milestone to DPGU’s internationalisation journey, a delegation from the University of Melbourne, Australia, visited the DPGU campus on 2nd September 2026.
The delegation included Prof. Fiona Newall, Head of the Department of Nursing, along with Mr. Hamish Dunn, Recruitment Manager; Mr. Gaurav Dudi, Recruitment and Conversion Officer; and Ms. AartiAhirrao.
During the visit, Dr. Nilesh Mahajan, Director, School of Pharmacy & Research, delivered a detailed presentation highlighting DPGU’s academic strengths, infrastructure and future vision. The delegation responded positively towards exploring possibilities for future collaboration.
As a direct benefit to students, Prof. Fiona Newall delivered an inspiring session titled “In Pursuit of a Life Worth Living” for the students of the School of Pharmacy & Research, offering them valuable perspectives on life, purpose and personal growth.
Upcoming Collaboration with Adelaide University
DPGU is further expanding its international network, with delegates from Adelaide University expected to visit the DPGU campus in October 2026.
The proposed interaction is expected to explore meaningful avenues of collaboration that may create new opportunities for DPGU students and faculty members in the areas of international education and academic engagement.
Global Immersion Programmes for Enhanced Student Exposure
With the vision of preparing students for a global professional environment, the Office of International Affairs is actively planning Global Immersion Programmes and international academic collaborations with institutions including INTI University, Malaysia; Middlesex University, UAE; and Tokyo City University, Japan.
A major milestone under this initiative is that the first batch of 30 students from the School of Management & Research is scheduled to travel to Middlesex University, UAE, in October 2026.
Such programmes will provide students with opportunities to experience international classrooms, global industry practices, multicultural environments and overseas academic exposure, thereby strengthening their confidence and employability.
Moving Towards Semester Exchange Opportunities
To provide students with the opportunity to experience education in an international academic environment, DPGU is also exploring the introduction of a Semester Exchange Programme.
In this direction, collaborative discussions are being planned with Northern Arizona University. The proposed initiative aims to create pathways through which eligible students may benefit from international academic mobility and cross-cultural learning experiences, subject to mutually agreed terms and applicable approvals.
International English Proficiency Testing Facility
To further support students aspiring for international education and global opportunities, DPGU is also planning to establish a LANGUAGECERT Test Centre for international online English proficiency examinations.
This initiative is expected to provide students with greater convenience by enabling them to access recognized English language assessment opportunities through the University ecosystem.
Strengthening Support for NRI and International Students
In another important initiative focused on providing a smoother and more supportive admission journey, DPGU has successfully completed its enrolment on the Study in India portal and the e-FRRO portal, as applicable to institutional processes.
